cory: it feels like we're living life a few weeks at a time until our next houseguests come :) our parents in january, my brother in february, your family in march and my mom next month! you've beendoing a great job focusing on work though and not being distracted by our visitors. you loved the "ice days" that happened here in tennessee that actually allowed you to have days off! like a whole week total-it was like christmas for levi and me! and on top of that-you had your best month at work. and you made a really awesome spreadsheet that even i was impressed by, as well as your superiors. i told my mom how much i admire that about you-how you're constantly improving yourself and learning new skills. a lot of people say, "oh, i'll learn that some other time" and you are not one of those people (no comment on whether i am...). anyway, you've gotten a lot of notice from the company executives and you totally deserve it.
chad sent you an xbox and you've been very diplomatic about how often you play. you self-monitor and are very conscious of whether you're even enjoying the games or not. i don't mind because it allows you to connect with your brother and friends who live out-of-state.
i love watching you talk with levi in the mornings especially. you've also dressed him twice and it kills me to see what you put him in (not in a good way, but i try to hold my tongue). i mean, there's not a lot of great ways to style red and white striped, fleece-lined overalls. sorry kid. you've been a lot more aware of my needs when you come home from work and are willing to take the baby for awhile. i so loved the yellow tulips you had delivered to me. what a lovely surprise! i think i'm obligated to end this with #treatyoself
levi: almost three months old! you smile a lot more, always when you wake up from sleeping and usually for your mama and daddy. but never for pictures, heaven forbid someone see anything other than a stone-faced expression from you on film! you're doing soooo much better at laying on your back and tummy for long periods of time/entertaining yourself. it's no longer all about eating, sleeping and pooping. it makes me sad when i feed you because i can tell how big you're getting and i mean, you're only three months old and i already miss you as a little newborn, so how am i supposed to handle you growing up for the rest of your life?! anyway, you've been suffering from cradle cap, so we're laying on the scalp massages after baths. i love you little man and i need to mention the most important thing-you've been sleeping a six hour stretch every night for over a week! then for another almost four hours. it's amazing and makes me so excited for you to sleep through the night!
